This type of inspection is very important, because water safety is critical with a pool/spa. Walking around a pool or spa and visually inspecting it is not enough to assess the condition of the area. 

A pool/spa inspection involves actively testing and analyzing the components of the system, to make sure that there isn’t any damage to the area. 

During a Pool/Spa Test We Inspect:

• Electrical and mechanical components
• Safety equipment (fencing, pool covers)
• Pressure checks (testing for leaks)

• Cracks in the pool surface or deck
• Drains and drain covers

While a pool/spa inspection involves hands-on testing, these tests usually do not involve draining or looking for the support underneath the pool or spa. 

Inspectors also cannot look at the underground plumbing/electrical systems – because this would mean digging & invasive tactics to review.

Why Is Pool/Spa Testing Important? 

You might think that from the surface the area appears to be in good condition. 

However, this is exactly the reason to get an inspection, because an expert will be able to tell you a lot more than just a quick glance-over will tell you. 

If an inspector notices serious issues with the pool/spa, they will take note of this & put it in the inspection report. This might give you leverage to negotiate a lower price of the home.
